Are you a Brazilian Zouk teacher looking to improve your ability to convey concepts and build a successful class? This program is for you. Join Val & Vanessa as they take you through their approach to teaching and growing students.
When: Thursday May 16, 12pm-6pm (1h lunch break 2:30-3:30)
Program
The day is curated and designed by Val & Vanessa around the needs of teachers and how to improve engagement and learning outcomes by students. You’ll learn about several things, including curriculum design, class engagement, simplifying concepts, and managing multi-level classes.
Your Pass Includes:
- Five hours of professional development
- Entrance to the Thursday pre-party in Kobayashi Hall ($30 Value)
- Cost: $100 CAD (around $75 USD)
Prerequisites:
This is a course designed for Brazilian Zouk teachers, and admits by application. You are eligible to take this program if:
- You are currently a Brazilian Zouk teacher and have been teaching regularly for at least 2 years, OR
- You have at least 2 years experience teaching other dance genres, but are new to teaching Brazilian Zouk, OR
- You have completed a recognized Teachers Training Program and been certified as a Brazilian Zouk teacher through an examination.
If you meet the requirements above, a link will be sent to you to register for the program. In some cases, we will admit those who do not meet the requirements above if you can show that your dance level and intent to teach is present.
